Auditions

Virginia Musical Theatre is an equal opportunity employer of performers of diverse cultural backgrounds and abilities. VMT regularly schedules auditions in New York prior to each production. Notices are submitted to the trades, including Backstage, and are posted with AEA. Managers and agents are notified through Break Down Services. Both union and non-union contracts are offered. Local auditions will be held each September in Virginia Beach. Audition notices will be posted in the local media and on the company website www.broadwayatthecenter.com.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways that you can get involved, make new friends and become a part of the arts. Volunteers are the secret to our success - we depend upon their creative energy, fresh ideas and links to the community. We are looking for task oriented, hands-on individuals to join the VMT family that makes this theatre so welcoming to the performers and artists who pass through our doors each season. There are a myriad of ways in which you can participate. Choose projects that suit your interests, skills and schedule. Here are a few suggestions:

Administrative Support
During business hours, extra hands are needed to answer telephones, process ticket orders, prepare mailings and many other projects in marketing and development.

Production Assistance
Ever considered putting your sewing skills to use in constructing stage costumes?
